I, the undersigned participant, understand that attending and participating in a Tango Festival involves physical activity and certain risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, collisions, injury, illness, property damage, close physical contact with partners of varying skill levels, and cardiovascular exertion. I voluntarily choose to participate and accept all risks associated with my participation.
In consideration of being allowed to participate, I hereby release and hold harmless the Tucson Tango Collective (“TTC”), its Board Members, and all Festival volunteers, instructors, staff, and venue partners from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or connected with my participation, except to the extent caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct where such limitation is required by law.
I understand that I am responsible for my own health, safety, and personal belongings during the event. I agree to follow event rules, instructions from organizers, and any venue requirements. I also agree to seek medical attention if needed and to notify organizers of any relevant medical or emergency concerns.
Media and Photo/Video Release
I grant TTC, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and designated representatives, the irrevocable right and permission to photograph, film, video record, or otherwise capture my likeness, voice, and image while I am participating in or attending the Festival, and to use, reproduce, edit, publish, and distribute such photographs, video, and recordings, in whole or in part, in any format or medium now known or later developed — including TTC’s website, social media accounts, newsletters, promotional materials, and press releases — for TTC’s nonprofit, educational, and promotional purposes, without further notice to me and without compensation of any kind.
I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished materials in which my likeness appears. This release does not extend to use of my image for purposes unrelated to TTC’s promotion of the Festival or its programs, and does not grant any third party the right to use my image for commercial purposes without my separate written consent. If I do not wish to be photographed or recorded, I understand I must notify TTC staff in writing prior to the event, and TTC will make reasonable — but not guaranteed — efforts to honor that request. I understand that TTC is not responsible for images or recordings made by private, non-TTC photographers or attendees at the event.
If I am registering on behalf of a minor, I confirm that I am the parent or legal guardian and I give permission for the minor to participate and release claims other than those caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct on behalf of the minor participant.
I further consent to the use of the minor’s image and likeness as described in the Media and Photo/Video Release above. This consent may be withdrawn at any time by written notice to TTC, effective prospectively; TTC is not obligated to remove previously distributed materials.
By completing my registration, I confirm that I have read and understood this waiver, and I agree to it voluntarily.
