DJ – Karena Makomaski (Rice)

Karena started dancing tango in 2011 in Tucson, where she became drawn to the
tranquilness of the embrace, the friendly culture, and the beautiful movement to the
music. In 2014 she was invited by a local organizer to DJ at his milonga, and with her
lifelong hobby as a musician, has taken to playing tango music for others with a similar
enthusiastic regard as she has to the dance itself. She has regularly DJ-ed in Tucson at
Milonga Felicia, as well as guest DJ-ed at local events throughout Arizona.
